History of the Church

Woodlands Point Community Church began in the spring of 2008 in the home of Jason & Emily Johnson. Jason, along with his good friend Daniel Pratt began the church as a birth of vision to see people hear the truth of the Gospel in the Woodlands TX. On June 15, 2008, a group of around twenty people opened the doors to WPCC’s first official gathering at Mitchell Elementary school. More than 100 people celebrated Jesus and worshiped Him that morning.

In the years since, God's faithfulness has been shown and many men and women in the Woodlands have come to know and worship Jesus through the ministry of Woodlands Point Community Church.

While there are many good baptist churches in the woodlands and of course FOTW woodlands campus, Woodlands Point Community Church adds a unique flavor to the church culture of the Woodlands. This can be seen from the churches vision statement:

"Woodlands Point Community Church is a Gospel-centered church committed to bringing glory to God by seeing lives transformed through the power of Jesus.

Very simply, we love Jesus, His bride the Church, the Word of God and each other. We are a community of people who have been radically transformed by grace and work diligently to extend the message of the Gospel into our community, the Greater Houston area, and the world."

Woodlands Point is part of the Acts 29 Network and subscribes to the 9Marks and Gospel Coalition statement of beliefs.

Woodlands Point Community Church Info

Woodlands Point Community Church is organized around 4 strategic core values: Worship, Community, Equipping and Mission.

This means we desire to Worship Jesus individually and corporately. We understand Community to be the Biblical model of the church, that we would truly be the family of God together, not simply members or attenders. We aim to be Equipped to minister to eachother and the world and live out the mission of Jesus which is seeking and saving the lost for the glory of God.
